Caravan of Death

A 26-year-old lawyer will devote forty years of her life to seeking justice for the murder of her husband, which occurred shortly after the 1973 military coup at the hands of the notorious “Caravan of Death,” sent by Augusto Pinochet to the northern and southern regions of Chile. She will confront secrecy, the complicity of the civilian establishment and, in particular, the Chilean courts, ultimately achieving part of her goal by becoming one of the lawyers who secured Pinochet’s first lifting of immunity in the year 2000.
